I was teaching English at one time - degree from UK, and Cambridge CELTA for teaching English (since moving to Spain), but now I'm semi retired and living in the Canaries. I'd like to learn to speak a little Mandarin or to enhance my B2/C1 level Spanish. I love to read out literary texts from books (fiction or non-fiction). If anyone is interested in accent reduction or recognition, I may be able to help. I can demonstrate RP, Irish, Aussie, general American or British accents, e.g. Scottish, Scouse, Geordie, Yorkshire, Cockney, etc. Long story short.....my nickname could well be Henry Higgins, LOL Hobbies: English phonology, accents, sociolinguistics, repartees, comedy, laughter therapy, bilingual mondegreens NB. Motive is 100% linguistic, pure and simple, nothing else.
